Самое новое в быту, с чем я сразу же столкнулась, была сортировка мусора. В Германии принято сортировать и выбрасывать в отдельные контейнеры следующие виды мусора: пластик, бумага и картон, стекло, остальное. В остальное (Restmüll) мы выкидываем пищевые отходы, подгузники, резину и все то, что не входит в первые три группы. Чтобы уменьшить объем прочих отходов, во многих городах можно подгузники собирать в отдельные пакеты (часто выдаются в ратуше вместе с памяткой молодым родителям), и самостоятельно отвозить в компанию по переработке мусора. Стекло дополнительно сортируется по цвету, для каждого цвета отдельный контейнер: прозрачное стекло, зеленое и коричневое. Как ни странно, к сортировке мусора быстро привыкаешь. Уже через пару недель я перестала приставать к мужу с вопросами: «А куда выкидывать коробочку из-под йогурта? А тюбик от крема?»

Для каждой квартиры в нашем доме предусмотрено место, где стоят контейнеры черного и зеленого цвета. У нас такое место на улице, слева от входа в дом. Зеленый контейнер для бумаги, у нас их 4 штуки на весь дом (8 квартир). Черный  бак для мусора категории Restmüll, он есть у каждой квартиры, на нем установлена радиометка. По мере заполнения, но обычно один-два раза в месяц баки выставляют на тротуар рядом с дорогой. По четвергам проезжает машина, которая собирает Restmüll, раз в месяц по понедельникам — бумагу. Контейнеры достаточно плотно закрыты, такой вони, как от мусорных баков в России нет.

При заборе мусора по радиометке определяются данные владельца бака.  В конце года происходит подсчет, сколько раз был взят мусор из каждого бака. Если вы генерируете слишком много мусора, и выставляете бак больше раза в месяц, за это придется доплатить. Мы пока укладываемся в норму, и платим за это около 100 евро в год.

С пластиковыми отходами (Gelber Sack) ситуация в нашем городе интересная. Раз в две недели в нескольких местах в городе располагают огромные контейнеры, в которые можно бесплатно выкинуть пластиковые отходы. Если ждать контейнеров не хочется, пластик можно самостоятельно отвезти на территорию мусороперерабатывающей компании и выкинуть в удобное время. Мы так и делаем, благо компания открывается в 7 утра, и можно закинуть мусор перед работой. Пластиковые бутылки из-под напитков со специальным знаком на упаковке можно сдать в пункт приема тары. Обычно они расположены в супермаркетах, где стоят автоматы, принимающие пивные  и пластиковые бутылки. Автомат выдает чек, который можно использовать при оплате покупок, либо обменять на деньги у администратора или на кассе.

Крупногабаритные вещи, такие как столы, стулья, шкафы и тому подобные, просто так тоже не выкинешь. Избавиться от них бесплатно в нашем городе можно один-два раза в год, в остальное же время за большинство крупногабаритных вещей придется заплатить несколько десятков евро. Но в каждом городе свои правила и тарифы по выбросу таких вещей, в одном из соседних городков деревянную мебель, например, можно сдать бесплатно. Наверное поэтому рынок вторичных вещей тут очень развит, ведь иногда дешевле отдать задаром, чем платить за утилизацию.

Старые ненужные текстильные вещи и одежду в хорошем состоянии можно выкидывать в специальные ящики, установленные по городу или отвозить в благотворительную организацию «Красный крест». Также в городах есть магазины секонд-хэнд,  одежду в хорошем состоянии можно сдать туда и даже получить за нее небольшие деньги.

Вчера я узнала, что здесь регулярно организуют блошиные рынки, где за небольшую плату можно выставить на продажу свои ненужные вещи.
